The St. Thomas Yacht Club
The St. Thomas Yacht Club (STYC) was organized in 1964 by racing sailors and it has a rich history of promoting quality racing for both big- and small-boat sailors. In its early years the Yacht Club sponsored the Caribbean Midwinter Regatta, the first-ever Sunfish World Championship.
Among our (how many members) membership we have an America’s Cup Helsman, Olympic medalists in both the adult and youth divisons. Our junior sailing program has developed into one of the best in the US and our young sailors have won six high school national championships and have contributed to numerous college programs.
The club has a very active tennis program and squash courts on site. Our summer sailing camp is popular with our membership and books up every year. The Club Galley offers dining and a menu featuring healthy options. Members can enjoy the venue for casual lunches and dinners, or can serve as the perfect location for hosting members’ private events.
Whether you are a novice enrolled in our sailing school, junior sailor on the go, or a long time member, St. Thomas Yacht Club offers community, friendship and a place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It is a world onto it’s own.
